Notes;  Here is another example of a European  plane in the stages of transition from wood to
metal.  This particular plane was made by
Gebruder Genuit, tool manufacturers and
distributers  in Cassel (Kassel), Germany. The date of manufacture is unknown, possibly
1900-1920. The blade is a replacement with a slight modification made so it will fit. It is marked
with a
Crown over EWK, which is the mark of Ewald Koll in Remscheid - Veiringhausen.
Ewald Koll was a supplier of chisels and plane blades. Planes of this type are seldom
seen.
